Local villagers played a crucial role in the manhunt, extending their full support to the authorities.
A massive force of 100-200 police officers worked tirelessly to bring Gade to justice. The accused has undergone a medical examination at Sassoon Hospital and will be presented in court today.
The search operation, which lasted for 60 hours, involved several units of the Pune crime branch and a dog squad. The accused was finally spotted at the riverside in a dark place. The arrest was made by a team of police constables, including Shankar Sampate, Nana Bhandurge, Kundan Shinde, Sagar Kekan, and Sujay Pawar, under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner of Police Smartana Patil.
